Color Me Healthy
Color Me Healthy is an app designed to be used by Pediatric Cancer Patients to help them with their treatments. The app is a project created by The Games and Therapeutic Apps Lab at the University of Utah. The patients are each given an Avatar to customize and a room to decorate. They are able to use the app to doodle as well as answer surveys related to their care. The app automatically uses the answers from these surveys to generate usable data for the Healthcare Professionals helping the patients. I was brought on to help with art and design. I created mockups to be used by engineers to follow and created 2D vector art for the user interface and game world. I absolutely adore this project and the passion our team brought to development.
The project is lead by a Registered Nurse who is the main stakeholder. Being able to create a game with the guidance of someone in the field of the intended users is phenomenal. The game is wrapping up development soon.
