a 3rd person action rpg inspired by Hindu epics

  • This project represents the culmination of our team's efforts during the Master of Entertainment Arts and Engineering program at the University of Utah. Within a year, we created a combat-heavy game inspired by Hindu epic films and the values of Hindu scriptures.
  • I took on the roles of animator, combat designer, and cinematographer. My responsibilities included crafting combat animations, designing intricate attacks and abilities rooted in real mantras and chakras, and capturing/editing captivating video content.
  • This project allowed me to showcase my abilities in animation, combat design, and cinematography while delivering an immersive and meaningful gaming experience.

  • This heartfelt game is my tribute to the belongings I lost, including my Gameboy, during GDC 2022. It offers a unique perspective as players embody my trusty Gameboy in a 3rd Person Stealth adventure across five levels.
  • Experience the 'Playdead' mechanic in the first level, where the Enemy_AI follows Toy Story rules. Level two introduces projectiles, challenging you to navigate a plane's fuselage filled with threats.
  • Delve into the Game_Boy's story across the next three levels, immersing yourself in a journey of resilience and humor.

  • NecroQuest is an ambitious prototype that delivers big adventure with simple controls. Created using Funovus's proprietary game design system on top Unity 3D, we utilized tables and spreadsheets to define unit behaviors.
  • During development, we had the opportunity to participate in Funovus' courses, where their software was taught. This allowed us to leverage their expertise while using just 3 buttons and a joystick to offer players engaging encounters, ensuring playability and catering to various playstyles.

  • Just One Bard is a lighthearted PC game that combines elements of MOBA and Diablo in a top-down perspective. Created using voxel assets in Unity 3D, the game was developed over a single semester.
  • Embark on an adventure with a party of four travelers - a bard, mage, rogue, and knight. Each character possesses unique abilities (Q, W, E, R) to overcome enemies and collect valuable artifacts. Join forces with up to three friends in online multiplayer as you explore the galaxy, seeking interesting treasures to plunder.

  • This project marked the culmination of my undergraduate degree, developed by a team of senior student developers. Utilizing Unity 3D, our aim was to capture the whimsical charm reminiscent of early Rare-style 3D platformers from the N64 era.
  • The game garnered attention and secured a spot on David Jaffe's (Creator of God of War) YouTube live streams. While he provided constructive criticism, doubting its success, we persevered. We're proud to say the game has garnered 'Very Positive' reviews on Steam with over 75,000 downloads. During release week, it even reached the #1 position on Steam's New Free and Trending list.
  • This achievement stands as a testament to our team's dedication and the game's ability to resonate with players, proving that our vision and hard work paid off.

  • Our team embarked on an exciting endeavor during the Master's program at the University of Utah's Entertainment Arts and Engineering department. Over the course of a single semester, we created a unique game that brings up to 4 players together in a thrilling competition centered around gathering an impressive collection of hats. Players wear custom Bluetooth-connected hats, utilizing head tilts to control their Gnome characters and navigate the immersive gameplay environment. The goal is to accumulate as many hats as possible and strategically cash them in at the center of the map for valuable points.
  • This project highlights our team's collaborative efforts and showcases our ability to design innovative gameplay experiences. By combining creativity, technical skills, and a passion for game development, we successfully brought this imaginative game to life, demonstrating our dedication to delivering engaging and memorable interactive experiences.
